Artifact provenance can establish file history, and semantic provenance can track intellectual lineage, but process provenance documents what the human and the AI each did: prompts, source selection, rejection, revision, transformation, arrangement, and final responsibility. The packet defines authorship as accountable relation rather than text-only property. It rejects both AI maximalism, in which any claimed output counts as authorship, and AI purism, in which any generative participation destroys authorship. Its structural distinction is that slop is not simply language made with AI; slop is fluent output without borne provenance and accountable human judgment. The packet engages disclosure regimes, copyright guidance, publishing controversies, and emerging transparency proposals, but remained a draft for deposit. It is a normative authorship framework rather than a settled legal or publishing standard.
